The time has come

Posted by Chris Cringle

To sign out. Well, 3 months have been and gone and I'm disappointed to tell you that I failed in my bid to hit £5k. I was only a couple of hundred short but only trading 2 Saturdays (badly) this month meant that I couldn't hit the magic mark. Oh well, I'm sure I'll manage :)

Over the 3 months I've been withdrawing bits here and there meaning that I'll be withdrawing £2500 and going to get my jaw dropping Christmas presents as of Monday of next week. The plan of taking the rest of the month off may not come to fruition as I've probably got a couple of days work to do but there's no rush so I'm just going to enjoy the lead up to Christmas with my daughter. It's the first time in 2 years I've been able to do it and as they get older the magic dies so it's best to enjoy the time with them whilst they're still young enough.

I've enjoyed the challenge and updating the blog although I'm not sure I have the willpower for anything like some of the guys that have been doing it for years! Finding something interesting to say when essentially you're just a challenge/P&L blog becomes difficult but reading back over it is satisfactory.

So, I'd just like to thank the guys that have supported the blog by naming it on there bloglists and also to everyone that has taken the time to comment. It's always nice to know what your doing is being read.

So to everyone in the blogosphere and those Betfair traders that keep those numbers moving each and every day. I wish you a very merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year and I may see you in the same place next year.

Well done. A superlative effort from such a small start up.

Merry Christmas Chris!
After you grabbed all our money, can we expect to get someting back? Would be a good present for us if you give away some good strategys.
Or should we remember you like this Santa:

Ha! Love the vid. That's me coming in and stealing your money :)

Nothing to give away really. Just plenty of time in front of the ladders. Nothing more sinister than that.

Thanks for the comment and merry christmas.

It didn't seem 5 minutes ago since you started this blog - now it's the 19th and I still haven't done all my shopping.....aaaaaargh!

Excellent work with the challenge CC - why aren't you a full-timer?

Time flies eh? Looks like some last minute petrol station gifts for you then :)

I think there is a massive difference to doing this in my spare time and going full time. Not sure I could handle the pressure mate. Saying that, work is pretty empty now until the middle of Jan, so may need to look at the full time angle a bit more seriously if it doesn't pick up.

Have a merry christmas.

He he yes mate - briquettes and a car air freshener for the missus this year ;)

Have a good one and all the best for the New Year if you decide to pursue the trading more seriously.
